“Saving the world, one house at a time!”
Although I am a native of the beautiful vacation state of Maine, I moved to the Triangle area in 1985 to
earn my Master of Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. I later
joined the University as a financial analyst and, after holding several progressively responsible positions
in finance and administration, retired from Duke in the summer of 2016. Although I spent 24 rewarding
years in health care and higher education, real estate has always been my passion. During my career
with the Duke Health System and Duke University, I bought and sold several investment properties of
my own, so in my retirement, it was a natural fit to make my passion, my second career.
I particularly love antique homes. I am currently in the process of renovating a 230-year-old home in the
National Historic District of Cherryfield, Maine, and a 1941 home in Graham, NC, in addition to assisting
sellers and buyers in maximizing their potential with home ownership. When I purchase an older home,
I think of myself as the caretaker, to preserve and improve upon it, and to pass it on the next caretaker.
When I think about homes that were built in this century or the latter part of last century, I think of
them as future antique homes, and to become such, believe that they are entitled to the same care and
attention. Whether you are an aficionado of antique homes or newer homes, I would welcome the
opportunity to represent you on the sale of your current home or the purchase of a new. Rest assured, I
will love it as much as you have during your time as caretaker or as a new homeowner. Please call upon
me to assist you in this very important step in your life!
